Project Concept
An award winning project, with transformation from a typical double-storey intermediate linked house to two and a-half storeys, showcases an impeccable blend of modern rustic design, prioritising natural light and ventilation.
The house employs materials that resonate with the industrial rustic concept, with polished cement floors, greyish skim coat finishes, and a distinct kitchen design. Bathrooms are modern, blending sleek design elements with rustic materials. Innovative architectural elements, like the reddish perforated brick facade in a gable shape, not only symbolise childhood memories but also serve functional purposes, providing natural lighting and ensuring privacy.
The two open-to-sky courtyards ensures efficient cross-ventilation, cooling the residence and offering an alfresco feel to the Kitchen. Bedrooms, strategically placed on the mid-floor, remain cool, protected from roof-transmitted heat. The design subtly integrates elements like the metal c-channel around the concrete flat roof of the car porch, ensuring practicality and aesthetics.
NJ House is a testament to evolving architectural design in response to changing global conditions. Emphasising open spaces, natural elements, and adaptability, balancing privacy with community spirit, and functional design with aesthetic charm.
