Project Concept
The transformation of this terrace house on a 25 by 100-foot long plot aims to modernize the existing structure while enhancing its spatial qualities and connection to both existing and new spaces. The design concept for Hidden Gem @ 8 includes retaining and improving the split-level layout to create distinct yet interconnected living spaces. The existing central courtyard will be redesigned to serve as a light well, illuminating surrounding areas and integrating green elements for a tranquil indoor-outdoor feel.
A new double-volume living area will visually and physically link the indoors between the existing courtyard and the private garden, offering a seamless transition and a sense of expansiveness. The upper level of the Master Room will overlook this space to the hidden private garden, providing luxurious views and abundant natural light. This renovation seeks to transform Hidden Gem @ 8 into a modern contemporary, light-filled residence that embraces its surroundings and offers a harmonious living experience.
